On December 16, 2024, the vibrant spirit of the Hollingsworth Park neighborhood was illumined during the "Light Up the Night" luminary event celebration. Against a backdrop of misty and cold weather, sidewalks here and there sparkled brightly. Santa Claus and his elves were on hand at the park Pavilion to receive families that braved the elements to enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and Santa cheer. For those neighborhoods that decided to use the designated rain date of 12/19, the skies still played tricks and doused the luminaries briefly with a shower. We thank all Hollingsworth Park residents for remaining jolly and resilient in the face of unpredictable weather. We are also most grateful to the volunteer group who assembled 400 luminary kits for pick up on December 15th. Legacy Park Friends netted $5500 from this fundraiser for park enhancements.
