Fall Garden Spruce-up at the Park Pollinator Garden

As fall began to fade to winter, the pollinator garden at the park also needed to be put to bed. So, in coordination with Legacy Park Friends, Greenville City PRT, organized a volunteer event on November 2nd. About 30 volunteers gathered at the park for garden clean-up, pruning, and planting to ensure the park looks its best even in the colder months.

They picked up fallen debris from the hurricane and trimmed back overgrown and tired plants in order to give the garden a fresh start as it enters dormancy. Hardy pansies were planted around the park Pavilion for a pop of winter color.

Participants made a meaningful contribution to the park’s beauty while connecting with neighbors and enjoying some fresh air. Please consider joining in the Spring work day that will usher in a new season of showy perennials at the park pollinator garden.
